                                               A General Description of Hypnosis

There are two aspects of the mind relative to hypnosis; the conscious analytical, task-oriented, problem-solving
part of the mind and the subconscious where habits, emotions, perceptions and permanent memory are
found. Hypnosis is a state of deep mental relaxation in which the conscious mind has temporarily stepped aside
and one’s attention has become selective, allowing direct access to the subconscious where durable change takes
place.
